Magical Caliza Cartagena
Meet the Founders

Founders of Magical Caliza Cartagena
Magical Caliza was born from a simple belief: the most extraordinary places are often the ones that few people ever discover.
We are Maite and Ender Carreazo, two siblings from Cartagena who have always been drawn to places beyond the usual tourist routes. Long before Magical Caliza existed, we spent our time exploring hidden corners of our region, searching for stories, landscapes, and experiences that most visitors never knew existed.
Everything changed when we recognized the true potential of one remarkable place: the Turbaco Volcano.
Located just outside Cartagena, this unique natural site remained largely unknown to international travelers despite its beauty, history, and cultural significance. Through a special partnership and exclusive access to the property, we saw an opportunity to share this hidden destination in a way that was authentic, respectful, and unforgettable.
That vision became Magical Caliza.
What started as a single experience has grown into a carefully curated collection of private and premium experiences designed for travelers seeking something beyond traditional tourism. Yet at the heart of everything we do remains our signature experience: the Turbaco Volcano Expedition.
Our story
Unlike conventional tours, our experiences focus on genuine connection. We believe luxury is not about crowds or schedules — it is about access, authenticity, comfort, and meaningful moments that cannot be easily found elsewhere.
Today, we welcome travelers from around the world who want to experience a different side of Cartagena — one shaped by nature, local culture, hidden places, and personal stories.
Magical Caliza is more than a tourism company. It is our life project, our way of sharing the places we love, and our commitment to revealing experiences that most travelers never get the chance to see. Our mission is simple:To take people where most visitors never go and share one of Cartagena’s most unique hidden treasures — the Turbaco Volcano.
